You seem to have a limited understanding of what doxxing is. And it doesn't follow that if antifa doxxed someone, some of them can't get mad about being doxxed themselves (hypocritical probably applies). The point was that there was a personal element to the attack, there's plenty of other far right peeps they didn't bother to attack, for some reason, the ones who became violent went after the person who had pissed them off the most. Go figure. The attack was completely unjustified, but it wasn't JUST political.
You're either being purposefully disingenuous or you're incredibly dense. When you assault someone, nothing else you have to say on that specific issue matters. I don't think I needed to clarify that, and I'll just assume you're being purposefully disingenuous. When you punch someone in the face without provocation and then say, "Yea but he did X, Y and Z and I was just - " Nope. I have nothing else to hear from you on that matter. You punched someone who was unarmed and showing no signs of aggression. You're a punk. And anyone who sticks up for you or, for that matter, tries to give reasons why you're unprovoked physical assault might be okay or excusable is a punk too.
And... no... Naming someone who has already been on the news and is a public activist in their area is NOT doxxing. Period.
And, once again, that there may be a personal element to the attack doesn't mean that the core issue isn't political differences. Because that's what it is. And okay. Fine. It wasn't JUST political. A car accident isn't JUST the two cars involved in the accident. A murder isn't JUST a knife going through someone's heart. Split hairs all you want, you're missing the point entirely.
All of this STEMS from political differences. Period.
edit: Despite our disagreement here, I am in no way defending the position that Ngo is some great person... nor am I even denying that he's a bad person. But being a bad person doesn't mean you should be assaulted without provocation. I don't care what the circumstances are... who got doxxed, who didn't who did this that and the third... I don't give a fuck. We have assault laws for a reason. You can't just decide that you personally get to assault another human because you feel what they did or said was wrong. And if you think it's okay to do so, you're the problem.
Since when do we feel it's okay to question the victim? Undoubtedly, Ngo IS the victim here. Bringing up reasons why he MIGHT of been assaulted only feels like victim-shaming. It's nonsense.
And hey, maybe he's a bad guy. Maybe he did some shitty stuff. Doesn't mean you can walk around and punch people in the face unprovoked. End of story.

It really doesn’t, as has been made explicitly clear multiple times and many ways. There’s just the one thing that -antifa- is about. They have no political allegiance to go to bat for or disagree with the other guy over. There are anarchists, liberals, centrists, libertarians and conservatives who participate in their actions..... and they don’t believe that politics is an effective defense against the predictable results of fascism.
They see themselves as defending communities and individuals that fascists are attempting to intimidate or harm. As another poster pointed out... there were plenty of fascists there to jack in the face, and even beyond the likely personal nature of this assault.,.Ngo stands out as what they consider a legitimate target for their constrained violence.

NGO wasn’t assaulted without provocation, provocation is literally what he does, lol. We could both contend that even so, even provoked, violence isn’t the answer.

The clip shows him literally walking away with his hands down as he's then punched in the face from behind and struck with multiple objects as he continues to walk away and try to defend his face and head with his arms. What about that tells you "provocation?" Because he wrote some articles that people didn't like? Get the fuck outta here. I'm not doing this with you all day Gae unlike you have a life. Looks like you might want to research NGO while you’re researching antifa.
You’re unlikely to come out the other end with a high opinion of either...but at least it will be s better informed opinion.
Here’s a simple way to understand antifa. Aside from any individuals proclivities...as a movement, they don’t give s shit about the politics, they’re not looking to disagree or argue with fascists. Antifa as a movement doesn’t care whether or not beating the shit out of someone is wrong or illegal.
They’re beating the shit out of fascists before the fascists get around to gassing the undesirables, again.

Quibbling about the specifics and differences of Soviet history and modern American antifa aside, sure though there are probably better examples.
Antifa has no goal to create a “better” society, and...again....it isn’t actually a commie or leftist movement.
