I've been in the service Cox. There's another authority that doesn't exist. You do realize that our military absolutely spent money on psychic defense correct? It's a really simple equation for the military. "It isn't ours, can we shoot it?" Now, is this "proof" evidence or yet more testimony? I believe it presents evidence e.g radar readings that back up what the pilots are seeing and the records of these 'incidents'. Your level-headed no nonsense approach is what is needed to explain why the 'proofs' provided in this documentary, are nothing to get excited about. Where am I going wrong in getting excited about this stuff?

What struck me about the examples in this documentary, is that like the retired airforce guys at the news conference last year, no one claims to have seen an alien or any silly nonsense like that. It's all about the vehicle, its technology and what it seems to be doing. These are all rational things to consider and don't need to involve 'aliens'. The other thing that struck me about this document, was that the same 'features' are occurring, as with the other guys: craft that make no sound, circular (and triangular in this document), a pulsating light, like it's blinking, operating maenouvres that defy known technology.

Gee whizz! This is such fascinating stuff. I hope someone will check this documentary out and debunk it if possible.

I cant take any american documentary seriously, they all seem to have an agenda at the start and skew the evidence to fit.

I cant tell you how many of these pseudo documentaries I've started to watch because they looked promising only to turn off in disgust at the obvious manipulation.

Its started to creep over here too with such "paranormal investigations" like haunted live.

Yeah, I think it was Most Haunted Live where I saw a piece of string attached to a plate that went flying across the room, to the shock of everyone there (except the crew). I think I turned it off and watched Spongebob instead. It's a lot less ridiculous

Those shared characteristics of UFO that have you intrigued actually change over time. From the type and shape of the craft, to the likely origin of the pilots, it has all gone through the cultural meat grinder.

Radar picks things up all the time. We even design aircraft that it doesn't pick up. People see strange things all the time. Sometimes an object is very difficult to identify. Sometimes people actually are speaking directly out of their ass. There wouldn't be any controversy here if there were a shred of evidence. There isn't. What you have with "expert testimony" is a case of "I couldn't identify it, ergo aliens by default". That's insufficient. Nothing wrong with wondering though. There's some kid out there right now who is so intrigued that he is designing a vastly superior target acquisition, identification, and tracking system that will one day be the standard (obviously only an example of possibility).
