There are no answers in Genesis
RE: There are no answers in Genesis
What's common sense about that suspicion? Luke wrote about his persecution of Christians. Paul described himself as being a fervent Jew and a Pharisee. See Philippians 3. What is you evidence that he wasn't?

Your trouble begins with "paul says" and "luke says". Neither paul nor luke say anything to you, in scripture. There's actually a really convoluted way of maintaining those narrative elements even in light of the contents of magic book. It's to say that the later authors and scribes who spoke for the trees didn't know their shit, so it only seems like the "original authors" didn't know their shit..as the text you now have is a product of the former, rather than the latters, work and knowledge.

I can't think of a more amusing way to say "okay fine, you caught us in a lie" than that - but hey, to each his own. A deeply faithful and secure christian would not feel threatened by this inconvenience, but I'm betting you're not one of those? That you might start to think "fuck, if this "paul" fucker isn't what I was told he was, what about jesus....?". Hence, the compulsion to instinctively reject such information, rather than googling it and being amazed by how much more complex your religion is and religious texts are, than you were likely brought up to believe. What If I told you that the majority of what you read in magic book has long been known, even by religious scholars and clergy...to be a bit of a stooooory? That they've come up with countless excuses for continuing to sell you on lies which they, themselves, do not believe?

Ok. But you do realize that you are going against moden historians and biblical scholars. I'm at least referring to real literature, while you are conjecturing. Ok, so the writers of the bible were all liars - and that's that! I'll mull over that.

"Real" literature. Is that a term of art?

That's an interesting set of beliefs? I wouldn't have called them liars, per-se, but your mind immediately ran to it. Is that all your beliefs amount to? A lie?

Perhaps you should take the time to research it, and maybe get to know yourself a little, too?

You know very well that I've researched. What you don't know are my beliefs.

When it comes to researching the bible most modern historians and biblical scholars are a wreck and you  confuse conjecturing with actual thought.
