Mehmet, it's not like I am giving out her whole name and shit. Fuck knows how many people she has praying for her godless niece, who is worse than a Satanist because she doesn't even believe in Satan.

She went on to say that I don't understand, or love god because all I was only just a Catholic, and they're not christians, etc. I don't know the true love of god because I have never been to her church, and if I would just attend her church, he would show himself to me, and I would know how many years I wasted worshiping the Pope, instead of the one true god, yada yada.

Does she live near you, Aleia? I hope she doesn't set the community you live in against you. It's hard enough to be a minority. If you have enough relatives that you can afford to flush one, I'd probably pick her. You're handling your business fine and this community obviously has your back. Now go kick some aunty butt.

This is why I keep my atheism secret from most of my family. I don't want to have to deal with their bullshit.

But frankly, any more I'm getting tired of seeing the kind of crap which inspired this thread to begin with. Christians keep spreading the lie that somehow it's OK to be Muslim in America, but public expression of Christian beliefs is not allowed. Maybe if I didn't live in the bible belt it wouldn't bother me so much.

No, she lives a couple towns over, thankfully. She and I have had long talks today, and she said she didn't understand why I would not want to be born again, to which I responded that I was born okay the first time. She replied that she was around if I changed my mind, and I left it at that.
