If only that were true. Paying their fair share, however, will not stop them. We have yet to find any way to stop them.

What would give you the right to stop Christianity?

You clearly have a problem understanding my question.

I was asking you to provide evidence that taxation has hampered a free press.

You haven't done so. I will therefore regard that claim of yours as ex culo, and move on to something more interesting. Good day.

The same thing that gives you the right to try to stop disbelief -- the freedom of personal action within the bounds of the law.

At least his goal, unlike yours, is laudable. You seek to impose Bronze-age ignorance upon people with your vapid preachments.

Churches don't have tax exempt status.

-And even if it were specifically against my religion to pay taxes..... you'd be okay with making me pay a tax. This table has no legs Heywood.

My religious beliefs require me to poke everyone I meet in the eye, and to posess 3kg of gold. The government is persecuting me. They keep arresting me for poking eyes, and they won't give me any gold.

The laws need to be changed so I can practice my religious activities.

Power. God respects power, and his power is what makes his pronouncements good, or just, or right. To stop Christianity you would need power.

But I think that's a very messy and costly way to achieve something that I think time will accomplish just as effectively and with less bloodshed.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

God doesn't have to respect power, no one has any unless He allows it, that being said, do you think God would give anyone enough power to stop Christianity.

God's pronouncement come from His nature, who He is, love, goodness, righteousness, justice and ect. and no one is powerful enough to take it them away.

Funny thing is, the less people believe in it, GC, the more impotent this god thing becomes. Ever notice that?

There have been other religions and other gods for thousands of years before christianity. Another millennia or two and christianity will be considered by all, just as silly as believing in Zeus or Odin.

From what I am hearing from the Christians on this thread, paperwork and tax laws can defeat your god.
