The 10 Most Ridiculous Beliefs in the Christian Delusion

RE: The 10 Most Ridiculous Beliefs in the Christian Delusion
Which would explain why it's harder to convert an (emotionally/physically stable) adult than a child. Though somehow not impossible.

Which is why it is extremely important to indoctrinate children, although it is terribly wrong.

That was probably a mistranslation. The original text said that God had something to say to Balaam about cruelty and said it by talking out of his ass.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

It's all ridiculous. If I was going to make up a religion, I would make it more believable; something that made more sense and wouldn't get you persecuted or killed for believing it. What I can't figure out is how so many people were drawn to a religion that professed a God that was such an evil monster. It's like--I know that God's a creep and I might get fed to the lions, but, heck, I'm tired of living anyway. There must not be any christians in Missouri because it's the "show me" state.

Cultural pressure and cherry picking will do that. Pretty much any religion that doesn't set up a strict Us vs Them mentality will be better than the Abrahamic religions.

Well don't tease us, Lek. If you call yourself a Christian anyway that raises two very important questions:

#1. Which specific xtian beliefs would make your top ten, ridiculously speaking?

#2. Umm .. why are you a Christian?

Please excuse my silliness, but I'm in one of those moods this morning. I'm leaving for church in a few minutes, so I had to clear my head of any logic or common sense. I'll ponder your question and give you my response.

Thankfully the worst of your God's monstrosities are reserved for the outsiders. It's almost as if you think Christians have a monopoly on bat shit crazy. Except that it's actually just the largest fish in a very crowded pond. And putting aside the obvious analogy with fish intelligence, we all know how poorly most of them do outside the water.
