Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, 1981, Veteran's Memorial Coliseum, Portland Oregon

Twice (because we ended up going back with my brother and our boyfriends to see them a second time!). They put on a great show. I was at that show. Both of them.
Mom and dad took us kids to see Mel Tillis and Moe Bandy back in 1979.
First arena show I went to was Rush, at the LA Forum, in October of 1987. RE: What was you first concert

Kenny Rogers, yep only because I had a friend into him. I think the second was Pink Floyd then ZZ Top, Pat Benatar was the first I really wanted to see. I was too young when I got into ABBA nor do I think my mom would have taken me to a concert.
But have also seen REO Speed Wagon and Styx and Metallica and got to meet the Ramones.
Roy Orbison, must have been late seventies, maybe 1980 (I was still in grade school). Dad took me when mom turned up too sick to go. But, I really count Van Halen on their 1984 tour as my first show. I'm the only person I know who can say they saw all three front men for VH live, in different states. Diamond Dave in Portland, The Red Rocker in Atlanta and Gary Cherone in Denver. Have to say that Cherone was a terrible choice for Van Halen.
CD, is Veteran's Memorial Coliseum still there? I saw a lot of shows there in high school.
Thief and assassin for hire. Member in good standing of the Rogues Guild.
Jimmy Buffet. 1985. Merryweather post pavilion in Maryland. I was 14

It also had Van Halen, among some other very nice acts. I have fond memories of Faith No More and Megadeth from back then. http://www.rock-am-ring.com/history/1995
