I'm not sure any translation can make the Qu'ran anything less then an extremely boring read.
The version of the Qu'ran that I read was a modern translation by Muslim Arabic authors. I thought the footnotes were very very apologetic to the point of possibly being misleading. There were footnotes to everything that sounded bad or stupid or horrific to explain what it actually meant, despite what it seemed to be translated as. To the point it was kind of humorous and if you knew the bible stories that it was ripped off of, you could see right through that. Mostly I thought it was just very boring and tedious.
Note, only 20% of Muslims speak arabic, so most people are dealing with translations. So when Muslims say 'you don't understand unless you speak Arabic' they are saying 80% of Muslims can't understand their own religion.

I'm actually surprised at that. Huh, you learn something new everyday.

I don't get it.
"This book can be interpreted to tell us something we already know!"
OK. Try a science book, you'll be amazed. And you don't have to skip past stories about angels and splitting moons in half and such.

It's ridiculous. Why don't they mention the scientific "miracles" before science does? If there really are scientific miracles in the Qur'an why don't scientists use the Qur'an as a valid source?
The dumbest part is when they say "the moon was split in half and it was recently proven by science!!1!11" or "mountains prevent earthquakes blablabla" then when you go to google it up you don't see a single scientific article about it. Afterwards when you prove them wrong "Allah IS the One tru God, I tell U the Truth but u deny it, i hope Allah has mercy on Ur soul."

When people start doubting it god goes: We'll I could show you evidence but I won't
Edit: Also, wasn't it you who made threads about these miracles? Now when they're debunked suddenly there are no miracles, but if god wanted to there would be? Why do you believe in the Qur'an when it has no evidence?
Not really.
Let's take this topic as an example -which I wrote-:
http://atheistforums.org/thread-42223.html
I may say in my defense, that I quoted a Quranic verse and projected it on reality, based on an article from the "Daily Mail"; see my small discussion with the member "Jenny":
http://atheistforums.org/thread-42223-page-5.html
I admitted that I projected the verse and was rash in adapting the theory without enough of an evidence. But the throne of God is still -to me- on water, because the verse said so; "how" though is where I went to the "Daily Mail" for.. Honestly, I stated my utter regret.
And here, I got silenced by atheist members and it was a truly shaking experience:
http://atheistforums.org/thread-32041.html
Thank God I knew my mistakes, and learned to say: this is a projection I, and only I, state and take responsibility for.
Not like the Sunni/Shiite faiths which present to you these things as "miracles" and "facts" like the prophet cracking the moon.
As for the evidence, the universe is enough. Believe me, I see kittens as a miracle and a sign; orgasm and sex, food, weed, also fire and scorching heat, growing up in a deep dark hole, darkness and misery, happiness, stars, ...etc.
Or let's say life itself instead of all this text? we grow old for a reason. To see, to learn. No, God is showing us signs and miracles every second. But we choose to close our eyes.

A faithful man might tell you that you're worshiping the creation rather than the creator, in the above. I'm no such man...lol, I understand. There's enough wonder in this world for me as well, so I don't concern myself with djinn. However, since you're in the mood of accepting what errors you may make in rationalization, you've just committed a couple more.
You've grossly equivocated upon the term miracle in order to set up a non-sequitur in which the existence of kittens somehow speaks to the truth of allah. It's a simple mistake that cheapens your faith and undermines it's basis as a rational proposition.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
