Pastor Robert Jeffress is saying in the name of Baptists & Evangelicals that it doesn't matter what Trump does sexually and if he raped someone as long as his policies are "great" and he is a "great" man.
The other guy, Juan Williams, a layman when it comes to Bible doesn't agree that much, but what does he know since he wasn't called personally by god to interpret the Bible to the people.
More like 'fake news'
What a total misrepresentation of what the pastor said. He start off by saying they still believe in the no sex commandment. but we also believe in forgiveness, upon repentance.
did you miss that part or simply not understand it?

I guess I missed the part where Trump even admitted to wrongdoing, let alone expressed genuine remorse and contrition. What isn't this pastor willing to overlook in Trump's case, so long as it's between Trump and 'his god' -- i.e. the being he pretends to believe in and worship in order to secure Evangelical political support?

He's not one of them, and they know it. Trump's "Christianity" is all just a pleasant fiction based on mutual political need. He needs their votes; they need a pliable president who will rubber stamp their legislative wish list. It's not really Evangelical hypocrisy. It's Evangelical cynicism.

Fruit inspector sport. The pastor was pointing to the deeds of Trump as being one who is in good standing with God. (Doesn't deny God defend his own version of morality) Which was the reason to bring up the deeds/Fruit of trump. As a thorn bush can not yield grapes.

No He didn't.

He said: "I will be asking for forgiveness, but hopefully I won’t have to be asking for much forgiveness. As you know, I am Presbyterian and Protestant. I’ve had great relationships and developed even greater relationships with ministers. We have tremendous support from the clergy. I think I will be doing very well during the election with evangelicals and with Christians,"

Of course not.  They think that all they have to do is say "sorry pappy jesus" and everything they have done is "forgiven."  What a bunch of shits.

Actually, Dripshit, he said precisely that in a somewhat earlier interview.

Quote:Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.

"I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't."

Do they still apply to non-white rich people?  By the way, the answer to your question is yes.
