Yup, and I "remembered" it for decades. No one could have told me I was wrong.

I was picking up Boss Lady after work one night.* As I was driving past the landing lights for STL-Lambert Field I saw a triangular UFO**. As we are very close to the location where the first "triangular UFO" was spotted, Belleville, Illinois, I started laughing. What I was seeing was an airplane's landing lights. It' "hovered" for the same reason some tornadoes ":don't seem to move at all", i.e., it was coming straight at me.
*She worked a forty hour week with a broken leg, getting off at 1:30 am. I dropped her off, got her wheelchair out of the truck, and I picked her up and put her chair back in the truck. Then she had to have a knee replacEment. So I had plenty of chance to see this phenomenon.
**It was truly a UFO until I identified it.

Even with professional military pilots who have claimed to see things they didn't understand, all it means is that they didn't understand.
Not understanding what one saw does not make little green men a reality. It merely means the person who saw it didn't understand what they saw, thus the word "Unidentified".

Which is all EgoDeath was asking for - have you seen a flying object that you couldn't identify? You seem to be the only one in this thread equating 'UFO' with 'alien spacecraft from another planet.'

As far as I’m aware I have never encountered or abducted an alien.
I have seen flying objects in the distance that I could not identify.
Was it a bird?
Was it a plane?
Was it some clown in a cape?
I don’t know. Pretty sure it wasn’t aliens, though.
