True, but we don't know anything pre-Big Bang (for obvious reasons). If it's a cyclical event, then I don't mind putting forth #1, because even though each Bang may create a different universe, the cycle remains.

According to Big Bang theory, the universe exploded into existence from basically nothing 13.7-something billion years ago. But we're at the beginning of a wave of discoveries of stuff that's older than 13.7 billion years.

Also i kinda know about the the universe recycling. Its a good thing and its less bleak and unfortunate like the total heat death of everything.

And here, Ladies & Gentlemen, is the grand reason why believers in gods are dishonest: if you can't find out something about the world around you, just make one up and hope it sticks. If it sticks, it must be true, huh?
Why is it so damn hard to understand that, just because we, as a species, don't know how the Universe came about, that doesn't mean that "god-did-it" is the correct answer?! WHY WHY WHY???

I assume that once in hell no rational thought or decision making would be possible. Just an eternity of screaming and suffering. Otherwise it's not exactly hell per se.

Hell is a pagan myth adopted by apostate Christendom. There are three primary reasons to conclude the Bible doesn't teach hell. 1. The soul isn't immortal and so can't be tortured forever in hell. (Ezekiel 18:4) 2. Sin equals death so upon death the debt of sin is paid in full, no more punishment is required. (Romans 6:7) 3. God is, in effect, in hell which is merely the common grave. (Psalm 139:7,8 / Amos 9:2)

That doesn't stop a lot of Christians teaching it. The religion is the oral myth, so if the oral myth says there's a hell, there's a hell. It only matters what people think the bible says, that's good enough in general.
If you step back and look at it objectively, then you have to discard almost all the bible, so that doesn't work either.
