If you don't mind lying, the three words "I've been disfellowshipped" should repel them as if you were radioactive.

I put up a "No soliciting sign" right next to my doorbell when I moved in last. That seems to work, I know there's both JW and LDS missionaries working the area but so far they haven't bothered me.

When they bothered me at my prior residence, a firm but polite "No thank you" apparently was taken as an invitation for questions. Repeating it more firmly and less politely did the trick but did seem to annoy them. I don't have a problem with that - they started it. Big Grin
